i think my Durango's radio has a life of its own. it freezes and wont allow me to change stations or turn it off!
this doesnt happen always but when it does, it happens for a few weeks straight

This is annoying the hell out of me, I need my music but i also need my peace and quiet Anyone else had the same issue??

hmm i've seen many people have this issue so i think it's pretty common. haven't had mine yet tho hopefully never. have you tried a soft reset? try holding the volume and the turner knobs until it reboots. or like try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes for a system reset.

Indeed it's a pretty common problem with Durango's radios. A lot of people have the same issue. If nothing that @rangostarr suggested helps, take it to the dealer, it probably needs software update or even radio module replacement.

This worked for mine! hope you've tried it already.

I heard other riders have the same sentiment. I actually had this experience on my old one. Ended up doing a soft reset (hold power + volume knob) and it chilled out... for a while. You might need a firmware update.
