Questions for towing trailer

I'm attaching a travel trailer to my 2024 Durango SRT 392. The trailer has mechanical sway bars but I was told not to use them since my car came equipped with a trailer sway control. How true is this? How about using a weight distribution hitch?

Well, yeah. generally, it's true. you shouldn't use mechanical sway bars with your 2024 Durango SRT 392's built-in Trailer Sway Control (TSC).

and YES! a weight distribution hitch is a great idea, it really helps

Yeah, you should go with a weight distribution hitch, especially for pulling heavier trailers! I read good reviews about Equal-i-zer. It got a higher price point but who cares when it delivers, right?

Sway control on the Durango helps, but it's not perfect. Definitely better to still run a weight distribution hitch, especially if your trailer's going at it hard. Better safe than sorry.

Weight distribution hitches, usually help with stability and can work well alongside the sway control, especially if you're hauling heavier trailers, get one rated properly for your setup though
