Got a '17 Durango that's been giving me headaches. The fuel gauge tricked me into running out of gas and now the interior lights flicker like crazy when I turn the key. Is this a sign of electrical trouble or just bad karma?

Yeah, that's probably more than just bad luck. definitely sounds like you should check your battery and alternator first.

A weak battery can cause all sorts of weird electrical stuff. if those seem okay, then yeah, it might be time to dig into the wiring a bit more. Hopefully, it's something simple! Good luck with it!

Okay, I need to start with the battery and alternator before diving deeper into the wiring. Mods might be pulling more power than expected so I'll check those too. Hoping it's an easy fix and not my Durango throwing a tantrum. 🙄

I think it's a battery issue. Get it replaced before anything. Also wanna ask what you did to say it's bad karma LOL. @eddysteady gave the idea don't come at me bro.

The battery was only part of it. The real issue was a corroded main ground strap. The bad karma was just me chasing that trouble for a few weeks.
