Irregular no-start problem

Got a 2010 Durango 4.7 and it has something I call an irregular no-start issue lol. And its been a tough one to diagnose. Ive already replaced the cam and crank position sensors. Sometimes i hear the fuel pump prime, and it starts. Other times, I dont hear nothing, and it won't start. No wiring problems at all. Help?

This is a classic issue with the TIPM fuel relay, it's really common in these models. If you notice that the fuel pump isn't priming every now and then, it's probably the internal relay that's giving you trouble. The simplest solution is to use an external fuel pump relay bypass kit. A friend put one in on his '09, and it fixed the problem right away. Definitley worth considering before you start lookin for other issues

It's the fuel pump relay, as they all called it. Coming from someone who experienced the same in my old car, the really old one, it's really almost always that issue. Get to the mechanic immediately.

That definitely sounds like a classic fuel pump relay issue, especially if there are times when you don't hear the fuel pump running. It might be a good idea to test or even swap out that relay before you look into anything more complicated. Has anyone had a chance to check the relay connections or tried using a reliable relay yet?
