I own the Durango 2022 and my phone wouldn't connect to the apple carplay. Is it possible that the problem is my old version of Iphone (i have iphone 11) or there is some other problem? please, i would really need an answer to this.

Is your IOS up to date? are you using a high-quality apple-certified usb cable? if you are using wireless carplay make sure that carplay is enabled in your phone under "screen time" and restart both the phone and incontainment system then try to reconnect again. if none of that works try to delete your car from Bluetooth settings on your phone and try to set it up again. hope you find this helpful

iPhone 11 should have no problem running apple carplay, it's definitely new enough and are you sure your carplay isn't disabled in the settings and phone shouldn't be locked when you plug it in for the first time, or it won't initiate the connection, well if it all doesn't work then restart both your phone and the car's infotainment system, forget the vehicle from your iPhone's settings, and re plug from scratch.

Simple answer. If your car's software hasn't been updated, do update that. If your iPhone isn't updated to the latest version, update it. As far as I know iPhone 11s are no longer compatible with latest iOS?

nope, your iPhone 11 is absolutely not too old for Apple CarPlay. do you use a wired connection? if you do, check the cables. try a different Apple certified USB cable. Faulty or non-data cables are a super common culprit.
also try a different USB port in your Durango if available. not all ports support CarPlay data transfer
