after giving birth to our second baby, my wife has been bitten by an SUV bug, and the Durango RT has really caught her eye.

She often talks about the V8 rumble, I must admit, it is awesome! So, I'm looking for the 2017 model with somewhere between 20,000 and 40,000 miles on the clock. I know she'll love it

Now, before I pull the trigger and potentially end up with a lemon, I was hoping some folks who know these Durangos inside and out could give me the lowdown.

Are there any common headaches or things that tend to go wrong with the 2017 RT that I should be aware of?

Some have mentioned potential issues with random electrical glitches or warning lights.but for me, I haven't had any issues so far! get that car!

That Durango R/T is an awesome choice, but have you looked into the maintenance records of any potential options yet? It might help uncover any issues, like with the transmission or suspension, before buying

You sure know how to spoil your wife, I have to admit. The R/T is a blast to drive and fun, but I'd say take it for a spin, a normal one, preferably over some bad roads or stuff like that. The ride is a bit firm and you might not like it.

one tip from me is to not skip a prepurchase inspection. Take the car to a trusted mechanic who knows these cars and have them do a full inspection, especially of the engine and drivetrain. It's a small price to pay for peace of mind and will give you a good idea of what you're getting into

the commentor above me is right. Before you buy, make sure to test everything, including the touchscreen, Bluetooth, and all the buttons on the dash and steering wheel. Also, check the battery's health. These vehicles are very sensitive to a weak battery, which can cause all sorts of weird electronic gremlins.
