Is a 3yr per 36k bumper to bumper warranty worth it? It's being offered to my sister for $1,950. She's got a '19 Durango GT with 42K miles in it by the way. Thoughts?

Personally, I'd only say go if it covers a lot with low deductibles and make sure it's a legit warranty, not just a service contract with tons of fine print

It's definitely something to consider. A bumper-to-bumper warranty for that amount could offer good peace of mind, given the mileage and age of her vehicle. I bet her Durango is at that stage where more significant repairs might start to crop up! Didn't they offer a powertrain warranty? Just so you can compare and see where you'd benefit more!

It's better to always verify who's the warranty provider because sometimes it could be a third party. It's also important to really read the fine print, check the exclusions and ask about the deductibles.
